THE SCHOOL:

This Catholic comprehensive was first started in 1989 and is located in the London Borough of Dagenham cars are advised although buses and over ground trains do service the school. The school overriding principles are to enable uniqueness and help students celebrate and express their faith. The students' ages range from eleven to eighteen and the school offers these students a wide range of academic, sporting and musical extra curricular activities as well as a diverse curriculum.

The progress results for students were in the top 20% of school nationally in 2014/15 and the GCSE exam results 2016 were the highest in Barking and Dagenham. In 2018, Ofsted's report concluded that "This school continues to be good" and that the standard of education remains at a high level.

The school has excellent links with local sport clubs and artistic societies who frequently take students off time table to enrich the curriculum.

THE ROLE:

Based in the humanities department, you will be required to teach Geography to KS4. Planning, preparing and delivering lessons, ensuring good progress is made by all and providing interesting and stimulating lessons. You will be expected to work 5 days per week, contact time approx. 17 hours per week - the time table is still being finalised.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification, i.e. BSc QTS, BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE, B.Ed

Previous UK teaching experience - Geography to KS4

A can do/proactive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
