Science teacher - Tameside

  • Pay ranging from ÂŁ95-ÂŁ160 per day
  • Full time Science teaching position to July
  • Teaching in a Good graded Ofsted school in all areas

Science teacher required for Tameside Secondary school to start after Easter.

The school achieved a Good Ofsted report in all areas in 2015 with senior leadership and management highlighted as a key strength of the school. The post will consist of teaching all Sciences with a specialism in Chemistry being beneficial. The successful Science teacher will be taking on full responsibilities of planning, marking and student assessment.

The school has over 900 students on roll and has a large percentage of pupils who use English as an additional language due to the cultural demographics. Science teachers interested in this position will be expected to hit the ground running and merge into a successful department with the upcoming exam period.

The school are achieving in line with national averages academically with 52% of students achieving at least 5 A*-C grades in their GCSEs.

Highlights of this Science teaching post;

• Full time post to the end of the academic year

• Good pupil behaviour and procedures in place

• Pay ranging from £95-£160

The school are looking to see candidates for interviews and trials prior to the Easter break so you will ideally be available for this. To be eligible you will need to have QTS in the UK, experience teaching across KS3/KS4, have school based references and a fully enhanced DBS.
