Nursery Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to work within Primary Schools across Huntingdonshire and Peterborough.
About the Role
Our partner schools require caring and dedicated support staff to work 1:1 with children across a range of year groups. The needs and abilities of the children vary, and the role may involve a mix of in-class support as well as working outside the classroom in small groups or individually.
These positions begin as temporary but often progress to long-term or permanent roles, depending on school needs.

Roles typically run from 08:30am to 15:30pm, Monday to Friday, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. Daily work is consistently available.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Nursery Assistant – Huntingdonshire & Peterborough, you will:
- Have experience working in a school, nursery, or similar childcare setting within the last 3 years (minimum 6 months)
- Hold a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting young children
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. All staff undergo thorough interview and referencing checks, and must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

Salary
£95 to £120 per day
(We are proud to be the highest-paying agency in Cambridgeshire.)
Salary depends on experience, training, and qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
