General Science Teacher - Warrington

  • Competitive pay rate
  • Supportive department
  • Excellent teaching opportunity

The Role:

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a ‘good’ school within the Warrington area to appoint a Science Teacher, starting in after the October half term until July. The school is looking for a Science Teacher who can teach KS3-4 students general science: biology, physics and chemistry. If this sounds like a role that would suit you as a science teacher, please call Ashley Fortune at the Liverpool Secondary and SEN branch.

The School:

Our client school is average-sized and over-subscribed school serving the wider area; most students speak English as their first language and have a small number of students with SEN who attend alternative provisions at a local community centre. Ofsted commented that pupils ‘achieve well by year 11’ and behaviour is good.

This Warrington school is very supportive, and has spent a large portion of the pupil premium spend on raising attainment within Science. Employing intervention staff, and using funding to reduce the size of classes. The course covers all aspects of the three sciences through a variety of topics and practical investigations. In Y9 they are set and the start to study for their GSCE exams. In KS4 pupils follow the AQA board.

This is an excellent opportunity to undertake a teaching role in a vibrant department. To be considered for this Science teaching role you will need to be/have:

• Secondary QTS, NQTS should also apply

• Ability to teacher across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage4.

• Proven track record in striving to achieve high attainment results.

• Have good interpersonal and presentational skills, be forward thinking, with the ability to inspire students through their subject.

To apply for this excellent teaching opportunity, please email your CV Scott.Wilkinson@teaching.personnel.com or call 0151 285 4258 today.

All candidates applying to jobs through Teaching Personnel must undertake or have undertaken an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS – Full assistance provided (AGY).
