Our client school is currently seeking to appoint a Maths teacher to start in September, due to a maternity cover. This position is initially for the first two terms from September 2017 with the potential to extend for the final term.

Based in Oldham, our client school is a large secondary which was newly built recently to serve the local community. There are currently 1200 students on roll, which looks set to increase next year with a larger Year 7 cohort than previous years. This is a highly improved secondary school with Ofsted rating it as ‘good’ in leadership and management. The newly appointed head and management have reinstated the importance of high teaching standards, having a positive impact on student’s behaviour and attainment. This has led to a vast improvement in GCSE results with 85%of pupils achieving five or more A*-C grades in 2016.

• Teaching maths to different ability students across KS3 and KS4

• Both experienced and newly qualified Maths teachers are encouraged to apply

• Attractive pay rates in line with MPS/UPS (22,467-£38,250 per annum)

Situated in Hollinwood, the school is easily accessible via the M60 motorway and the surrounding areas; Rochdale, Central Manchester and Bury. For non-drivers there is a variety of transport links a short distance from the school.

The successful Maths teacher will be responsible for developing plans and lessons in line with the curriculum across both KS3 and KS4, facilitating the learning of all pupils by establishing relationships and employing a range of strategies to raise the pupil’s attainment. The head of department is looking for a teacher of Maths that has excellent behaviour management skills and outstanding classroom presence.
