General KS2 Teaching Assistant

Make a real difference in Year 6!
We are looking for a committed General Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 class in a friendly and inclusive primary school in Maghull. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role during pupils’ final year of primary education, helping them prepare for SATs and transition to secondary school.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing whole-class support alongside the teacher
• Delivering small group interventions in Maths and English
• Supporting pupils with SEN and additional needs
• Assisting with SATs preparation and booster sessions
• Helping maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment
• Contributing to school activities and supporting learning beyond the classroom

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working in UK primary schools (Year 6 experience desirable)
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to build rapport and motivate pupils
• A proactive, flexible, and supportive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
