Graduate teaching assistant Manchester

  • School located in city centre and very accessible via public transport
  • £50 - £70 per day dependant on experience
  • Ofsted "Good" school with teaching alliance links

Aspiring teachers required for graduate teaching assistant position at Manchester training school

Our client school are looking to provide an initial introduction to working in education for any aspiring teachers in Manchester. The school are looking to fill a number of graduate teaching assistant positions from September with the added incentive of gaining a place on a PGCE or Schools Direct from September 2017.

This is an ideal opportunity to gain an insight into the daily workings of a school and an insight into a career in education, either in a support or teaching capacity. You will be given the opportunity to work cross-curricular and support in a number of subjects, but also given the chance to work directly in your subject specialism for a core number of weeks.

Our client school is a large secondary school in central Manchester with a recent Ofsted grading of “Good” and a number of links to other local training alliances. The school has a history of successful and quick development of those at the beginning of their careers, whether it is those completing teaching placements or aspiring to this. The school serves a diverse catchment area with a multicultural cohort, they pride themselves on their harmonious and inclusive education policy in which all students are fully supported.

You will hold a number of responsibilities as a graduate teaching assistant including supporting SEND pupils in education, supporting those behind their target grades in Key Stages 3 and 4 along with being the tools to track, monitor and assess progress and relay this back to Heads of Department.
