- Work 1:1 or with small groups!
Teaching Personnel is currently working with a number of mainstream schools based in Solihull that offer tuition to their pupils who require additional support for them to reach their target grade at GCSE level which is often a C grade. You can either be working 1:1 with a pupil, or working with a small group of up to 5 learners. This can be dependent on what you are looking for, as well as what the school are looking.
The majority of these opportunities are teaching the core subjects (Maths, English & Science), providing extra support for the learners. The school will accept both fully-qualified teachers (FQT), newly-qualified teachers (NQT) and graduates. Some form of teaching experience is desirable, however this may not be essential. You're teaching qualification, or degree does not have to be directly linked to Maths, English or Science. If you are only confident in one subject, then job shares can be done to ensure the students get the most of their support!
The tuition sessions can be held either in the schools, in libraries or in the pupils home on rare occasions if that is the pupil's needs. The hourly rate will be minimum £20 and can go up as high as £30 dependent on experience/qualifications.
Please don't miss out on this great opportunity! Not only is the work extremely rewarding, the experience looks great on your CV.
