We are looking to recruit new or experienced cover supervisors for September 2016. We work with multiple schools in the South London area that rely on us to cover their day to day staffing needs. We would be particularly interested in recruiting staff who live in and around the South shields area as they are ideally situated to get to multiple schools we work with.
The cover supervisor's main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set. Cover supervisors were originally introduced as a way of maintaining teachers' non contact periods but have become a permanent fixture in most schools. Many schools specify an honours degree as a minimum educational requirement and like their Cover Supervisors to have experience of working with young people. As a Cover Supervisor the role will require you to be confident, pro active and capable of thinking on your feet.
Cover supervising provides you with the opportunity to:

?Gain valuable experience if applying for a PGCE
