GCSE Maths Teacher

GBP24,765-37901 per annum FTE (depending on qualification and experience)

Part time: Part time 22 periods/16.5 hours (0.647 FTE)

Start date: April 2020

Contract: Temporary maternity contract for approximately 14 months

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a College in Brighton who are looking to appoint a GCSE Maths Teacher. The college is one of the most successful sixth form colleges nationally. Offering a broad range of academic and vocational courses, we have an excellent reputation for inclusion and adding value.

They are looking for an experienced L2 Maths GCSE specialist to join our GCSE teaching team, to develop and deliver teaching and assessments in order for our GCSE students to reach their potential – this is a brilliant time to join the College and a great opportunity for someone to make a real impact. The department has a 47% pass rate for GCSE resits, far above the national average of 27%, and they are looking to increase that pass rate year on year. Please note that this is a GCSE teaching post only i.e., no A level teaching. 

About you

  • The successful applicant will have a relevant degree and/or professional vocational qualification and recognised teaching qualification/qualified teacher status with relevant recent teaching practice.
