Functional Skills Tutor – Maths & English
Location: Bristol 
Pay: £20 - £30 per hour 

Are you an experienced Functional Skills tutor passionate about supporting learners in achieving their Maths and English qualifications? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled tutor to join our team in Bristol, working with a diverse range of students, including those with SEN and SEMH needs such as ASD, ADHD, anxiety, and EBSA.

About the role:
As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will be responsible for assessing students’ abilities, planning and delivering tailored schemes of work that meet individual needs, and supporting learners to achieve their qualification goals in Maths and English. You will work closely with students who may require additional support, ensuring an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS or a minimum of 3 years teaching experience

  • Proven experience working with Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English

  • Experience supporting learners with SEN or SEMH needs, including ASD, ADHD, anxiety, and EBSA

  • Ability to assess, plan, and deliver personalized schemes of work

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
