Science teacher required for a long-term contract in the Northampton area!

Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working with a fantastic secondary school in Northampton who require a full time Science teacher on a contractual basis, which will last until the end of the academic year at least. The role is set to start ASAP!

The school are hoping to find a Science teacher who possess qualified teacher status as well as experience planning, marking and delivering Science lessons around the national curriculum. Ideally, the school are hoping to find a teacher with plenty of experience delivering GCSE Science lessons of any kind, whether that be Physics, Biology or Chemistry teaching experience. We are idealy looking for fully qualified teachers or teachers with 5 years plus experience in Secondary schools!

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging and innovative Science lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.

• Instil a love for science by fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment in the classroom.

• Inspire and motivate students to achieve academic excellence, supporting their progress and development.

• Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and comprehensive science curriculum.

• Utilize modern teaching methods, technology, and practical experiments to enhance learning experiences.

• Encourage student participation in extracurricular science activities and competitions.


 Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.

• Expertise in teaching Science to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (Key Stage 5 experience is a bonus).

• A passion for science and a deep understanding of scientific principles.

• Strong communication skills, both in the classroom and with colleagues and parents.

• Dedication to continuous professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest educational practices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
