The Role at a Glance

Job Title: Level 1, 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £450 – £500 per week (depending on experience & qualifications)

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday–Friday (term time only)
What You’ll Do
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be the extra spark in the classroom:
-
Support the class teacher in delivering exciting and engaging lessons.
-
Help pupils build confidence in literacy, numeracy, and wider subjects.
-
Encourage independence and self-belief in every child.
-
Track pupil progress and share feedback with the teacher.
-
Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
-
Ideally, a Level 1, 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (not essential).
-
Previous experience working with children (primary school experience preferred).
-
A strong understanding of the National Curriculum—or the motivation to learn quickly.
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
-
Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting children with a variety of needs.
-
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
-
Flexibility to travel between schools when needed.
