Job Title: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: Various schools across Cambridgeshire

Contract Type: Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and helping them reach their full potential? Teaching Personnel Cambridge is seeking experienced and/or qualified Teaching Assistants, including those with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to join our growing team. We work closely with schools across Cambridgeshire, providing dedicated support staff who make a real difference in the classroom.
We welcome applications from individuals with prior experience in education, SEN support, childcare, or related roles. A qualification in education or a relevant field is desirable, but not essential.
Access to your own vehicle is highly desirable due to the range of school locations, but it’s not a requirement. As roles are spread across Cambridgeshire, a willingness to travel and commute is essential.
Key Responsibilities

Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons

Provide one-to-one and small group support, particularly for pupils with SEN
-
Assist with behaviour management and encourage positive social interaction

Adapt learning materials to meet individual student needs and learning styles

Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals to provide tailored support

Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Contribute to the academic, emotional, and social development of all pupils

Requirements
-
Experience working with children or young people (essential)
-
Experience supporting pupils with SEN (desirable, but training can be provided)
-
Relevant qualifications in education, SEN, or childcare (desirable)
-
Ability to adapt to meet diverse learning and behavioural needs
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Willingness to travel to different schools within Cambridgeshire

Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
