Are you patient, enthusiastic, and deeply committed to helping young people thrive? We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS3 pupil in a welcoming, mainstream secondary school in the Cardiff CF5 area. This role offers the chance to make a genuine impact on a learner’s progress, confidence, and wellbeing—while becoming part of a collaborative and caring school community.

  • Helping the pupil engage with class activities and access learning confidently

  • Supporting the development of essential social, emotional, and communication skills

  • Following personalised strategies and learning plans set by teachers and SEN specialists

  • Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive relationships

This is a truly rewarding role for someone who enjoys building meaningful connections and helping young people realise their full potential.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (support can be provided if needed)

  • EWC registration (guidance available if you are new to this)

  • Two recent references from employers or relevant roles
