Job description

Full-Time PPA Teacher (EYFS – KS2)

Location: Bacup
Start Date: After October Half Term
Working Pattern: Full Time
Salary: From £140 per day (depending on experience)

We are working with a warm, supportive and nurturing 1.5-form entry primary school in Bacup, who are looking to appoint a dedicated PPA Teacher to join their team after the October half term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and adaptable teacher who enjoys teaching across the primary age range. You will provide PPA cover across EYFS through to KS2, working closely with class teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and continuity of learning.

Each term, you will be responsible for delivering a different foundation subject. The school follows established schemes of work, meaning the core planning is already in place. However, you will be expected to adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual pupils and ensure learning is engaging and accessible for all.

The Role

  • Deliver PPA cover across EYFS to KS2.
  • Work full time, teaching across the primary age range.
  • Deliver a different foundation subject each term.
  • Confidently lead lessons in PE, Music and Art.
  • Adapt existing planning to meet the needs of your classes.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (preferred), although Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Is confident teaching across the primary age range.
  • Has experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is essential, as some classes include pupils with additional needs.
  • Is flexible, organised and able to adapt teaching to suit different learners.
  • Has a positive, nurturing approach and enjoys working collaboratively.

What the School Offers

  • A welcoming, supportive and friendly staff team.
  • A nurturing school community where wellbeing is valued.
  • Well-established curriculum schemes to support planning.
  • An opportunity to teach a wide range of year groups and develop your skills across the primary phase.

Pay: From £140 per day, depending on experience.
