Location: South Ribble (Preston)
Start Date: February 2026
Contract: Full-time, Maternity Leave Cover

A supportive and welcoming primary school in South Ribble is seeking an experienced Year 4 Teacher to join their Key Stage 2 team after February half term. This is a full-time maternity leave position, offering the opportunity to make a real impact within a well-established KS2 environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead the Year 4 class with high-quality teaching and learning
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture
  • Work effectively with the wider KS2 team to support pupil progress
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

The school is seeking a teacher who:

  • Has proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (essential)
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and a creative approach to teaching
  • Is confident in planning and delivering to a Year 4 curriculum
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Is committed to raising standards and supporting pupils’ academic and personal development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
