Long-Term Nursery Assistant – Barry, Vale of Glamorgan
Are you a caring, creative and enthusiastic individual with a passion for early years education?
We’re looking for a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive nursery setting in Barry on a long-term basis!
Role Overview:
As a valued member of the nursery team, you’ll support the class teacher and Early Years Practitioners in creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn through play. You’ll help with daily routines, assist with activities, and provide high-quality care and attention to each child.
✨ What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children aged 0–5 (nursery or early years setting)

A caring, patient and positive approach
-
Good communication skills and a team player attitude

Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification is desirable (but not essential)

A valid DBS or willingness to apply for one
Position Details:

Location: Barry, Vale of Glamorgan

Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

Duration: Ongoing long-term position

Hours: Full-time (Monday – Friday, school hours)

Pay: £90–£95 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
