Location: CF23 Area, Cardiff
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £89.38 per day (paid weekly)
Start Date: September 1st, 2025

Are you passionate about supporting young learners in a Welsh-medium setting? Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Foundation Phase Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the CF23 area. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to support pupils in Nursery to Year 2, helping deliver high-quality learning experiences through play, exploration, and creativity — all in Welsh.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting the class teacher with daily routines and Welsh-medium lessons
• Working with small groups and individual pupils to develop early literacy, numeracy, and language skills
• Encouraging learning through play, story time, outdoor activities, and expressive arts
• Assisting with snack times, toileting, and wellbeing routines as needed
• Promoting a positive, inclusive classroom environment that nurtures every child’s growth

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:
• Fluent in Welsh (spoken and written – essential)
• Warm, friendly, and reliable, with a genuine caring attitude
• Enthusiastic about early years education and play-based learning
• Confident working with young children (ages 3–7)
• Committed to full-time hours, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
