Job description

Are you passionate about outdoor education and inspiring young minds through hands-on, nature-based learning? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant with a Forest School qualification and experience to join our vibrant and nurturing team.

Primary Teaching Assistant with Forest School Experience
Location: Burnley
Start Date: October 2025
Contract: Full-time (term-time only)

Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour

The Role:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant with Forest School experience, you will:

-          Support class teachers with the delivery of high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum.

-          Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging Forest School sessions.

-          Encourage curiosity, resilience, and independence in children through outdoor exploration and play.

-          Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

-          Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and personal development.

-          Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

-          Has prior experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting.

-          Holds a Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification (or is working towards it).

-          Is passionate about outdoor learning and understands the principles of Forest School.

-          Is enthusiastic, creative, and patient.

-          Can work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.

-          Has a genuine love for working with children and helping them grow.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
