Food Tech Teacher Required for January!

• QTS not essential

A Food Technology Teacher job has become available for an experienced teacher or and NQT of Food Technology to work in a large secondary school based in Welwyn Garden City.

This is a great school with opportunities for progression. The school benefits from a range of vocational subjects and outstanding facilities to accommodate including a hair salon, care garage and fully operating food technology classroom. This role is for 3 days a week with potential to be full time for the right candidate. You will benefit from a supportive department; excellent premises and the students have seen huge academic improvements within the last year. The schools ethos is to offer the highest quality of teaching to their students and staff work hard to provide outstanding support for their students and new staff.

The ideal candidate will be able to teach to KS4 but KS5 would be a bonus as they do offer A Level. If you have any other technology specialism this is also beneficial.

The right candidate will;

- Qualified Teaching Status (or overseas equivalent) OR be an NQT. However a very experienced instructor/cover supervisor will be considered

- Ability to teach up to GCSE as a minimum

- A strong knowledge of the National Curriculum

- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication between students / colleagues
