Food Technology Teacher (Full-Time) – Blackburn Secondary School

 Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Start Date: After October Half-Term 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (until July 2026)
Key Stages: KS3 and KS4
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of chefs, nutritionists, and food innovators? We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our forward-thinking secondary school in Blackburn from after October half-term 2025 through to July 2026.

The Role:
You will deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging creativity, practical skill development, and a strong understanding of nutrition, hygiene, and sustainability. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative Design & Technology department that values both academic progress and hands-on learning.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with a specialism in Food Technology or a related subject
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • A passion for practical teaching and curriculum innovation
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
