Day-to-Day Teaching Assistant at Secondary Schools in Old Trafford

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced teaching assistant to join our team on a day-to-day basis at several secondary schools located in Old Trafford, Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students and teachers across various subjects and year groups, as well as contributing to the overall success of the schools. This gives applicants the opportunity to take on flexible, day to day cover and gain experience at a number of different secondary schools. 

Responsibilities:

• Supporting teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities
• Assisting students with their learning, including one-to-one support and small group work
• Preparing and setting up resources and materials for lessons
• Marking and assessing student work, providing feedback and maintaining records
• Maintaining order and discipline in the classroom and around the school
• Collaborating with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons
• Participating in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and new initiatives

Requirements:

• Experience working in a secondary school setting (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of curriculum planning and delivery (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
