Job description

Supply Teaching Opportunities

If you are looking for greater flexibility in your working week and the opportunity to focus on teaching without the additional burden of extensive planning and administrative responsibilities, supply teaching through Teaching Personnel may be the right fit for you.

We work with a wide range of primary schools in and around the Salisbury area that require qualified teachers to support with:

• Day-to-day classroom cover
• PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover
• Targeted pupil intervention support, including SATs preparation
• Teaching across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2

One of the key benefits of supply teaching is flexibility. Through our dedicated app system, you have full control over your availability. You can block out days when you are unavailable or open up additional days when you would like to work more hours. We operate according to your schedule and preferences, giving you the ability to manage work around your personal commitments.

When you work with us, there is no requirement for lesson planning or attendance at parents’ evenings. You are placed into schools to deliver quality teaching, support pupils effectively, and focus on classroom engagement. At the end of the school day, your responsibilities finish, allowing for a clear separation between work and personal time.

Pay rates are dependent on experience, with average daily earnings ranging from £120 to £140 per day.

Requirements for candidates include:

• A genuine commitment to teaching and supporting pupil development
• Enthusiasm and adaptability when working in different school environments
• The ability to work confidently across different year groups and meet varying pupil needs
• An open-minded and professional approach to new school settings

Safeguarding and Vetting Requirements:

All candidates must complete Teaching Personnel’s full vetting process before being placed in schools. This includes:

• An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
• Verification of qualifications & professional references
• Right-to-work checks
• Full safeguarding compliance in line with education sector standards

These processes ensure the safety and protection of pupils while maintaining high professional standards within the schools we support.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
