Female PE Teacher – Secondary School – Preston
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Duration: One Term (with potential to become permanent)
Location: Preston
Contract: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and dynamic female PE teacher ready to inspire the next generation of students? A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated Female PE Teacher to join their team from 1st September 2025, for an initial one-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent position thereafter.

This position is advertised in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, as there is a genuine occupational requirement for a female teacher to lead and support girls’ PE lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Encourage active participation and personal development through sport

  • Lead extracurricular clubs and support school sports events

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote whole-school well-being and achievement

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS with experience teaching PE in a secondary setting

  • Be passionate about physical education and student development

  • Have strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Act as a positive role model for female students

  • Be energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to school life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
