Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic female Teacher of PE?

If so, Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity for you!

An Ofsted rated “good” Secondary School in the BB2 area of Blackburn, Lancashire have been in touch to advise they require long-term PE cover from September 2023. This is suitable for ECT’s looking to gain valuable experience or experienced practitioners seeking a new challenge within a vibrant and highly motivated PE department.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the classes ensuring equality for all.
  • Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, and other staff in the best interest of the pupils.
  • Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and always observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position.
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to develop, plan and deliver effective and high-quality lessons to all students.
  • Have excellent subject knowledge and be committed to ensuring all students reach their full potential.
  • Regularly review the effectiveness of your teaching and assessment procedures and its impact on pupils’ progress, attainment and well-being, refining your approaches where necessary responding to advice and feedback from colleagues.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
