Our client school in Skelmersdale are seeking outstanding Teaching Assistants who can provide support for their young people with SEN. The young people's needs vary and may include Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties, ADHD, SpLD, MLD and associated behavioural difficulties.

Your working day will involve supporting pupils in varying subjects across the curriculum. You will also assist with the development of social and emotional skills and encourage positive behaviours, relationships and outcomes.  

You will join a highly skilled and supportive team of staff and a fantastic Senior Leadership Team who will guide you every step of the way.

Class sizes are small, with learning being led by a teacher and supported by an appropriate number of teaching assistants reflecting the individual needs and abilities of the group. You may also be asked to support students on a 1:1 basis. 

As this is a challenging environment you will ideally have experience in this sector and have worked with challenging individuals. This doesnt necessarily have to be in a school setting and can be from care, residential, youth work, camp america, prisons, sports coaching etc! The school are open to various experience and try and recruit based on the unique skills a candidate can bring to the role, giving their pupils exposure to new experiences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
