SEN Teaching Assistant Required, Chorlton, Manchester (M21)

A client school in the Chorlton area of Manchester (M21) are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support in their energetic EYFS provision. The ideal candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a child in the Reception class who has suspected ASC. The child hasn’t yet been diagnosed but shows behaviours which need continual support throughout the school day. It is essential that applicants have experience assisting children with specific SEN and applicants are expected to be available on a full time basis. To be considered you will have a calming and compassionate nature and will be able to build strong relationships with children. The child requires physical and academic support through out the day and the school are looking for a dedicated practitioner who will make learning accessible and fun!
This two form entry primary school was graded ‘GOOD’ with aspects of ‘OUTSTANDING’ at its most recent OFSTED inspection and is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team. This is a full time position that will start immediately and will run until the end of the academic Year.
To be considered you must:
- Have experience supporting in the EYFS
- Have recent and relevant experience supporting children with SEN
- Have an enthusiastic nature and a passion for supporting learning
The school can offer the right candidate the opportunity to enhance their career in a ‘GOOD’ primary school. Support will be offered continually by the SENCO and SLT and the Childs IEPs will be monitored closely to ensure positive progress is being made at all times.
