Teaching Personnel are urgently seeking and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant for a friendly primary school in Malton.
Start date: 29/01/2020
Hours of work: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30 - 3.15 (Term time only)
The role:
General Teaching Assistant in a busy school Early Years provission, 3 days per week, reporting to the class teacher. Some personal care may be required.
The ideal candidate:
Ideally you will have a recognised teaching assistant or nursery nurse qualification, or at least significant experience in a similar role. You will be familiar with the EYFS curriculum and assessments.
Experience of the following would be beneficial:
- Planning and observation of Early Years children to support and push deveolpment and progress
- Using IT based progression tools, such as Ipads, Tablets and computers to record their progress through pictures and videos (EG. Tapestry)
- Realising child development through observation and assessment
- Experience in the 'Personal Care' side of Nurturing Children (needs will vary for setting to setting, but the skill will be required when called upo
- Skills appropriate to Speech and Language therapy or development
- Energetic and Vibrant approach to Childcare
- Caring and Nurturing personality
- Skills in Speaking and Listening observation
- A happy and fun persona to match the feel of the environment
