Early Years / KS1 Teacher – Exciting Opportunity in Dorchester

Are you passionate about giving children the very best start to their education? We’re working with a fantastic school in Dorchester looking for a dedicated and creative Early Years / KS1 Teacher to join their team.

The Role:
You will take on full teaching responsibility within the nursery, including:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Assessment and tracking pupil progress
- Completing PPA time and all duties expected of a class teacher
- Working closely with the EYFS Leader to deliver an ambitious, curiosity-driven curriculum
- Supporting the development and growth of the nursery provision
- Playing a key role in guiding and supporting the nursery team
We Are Looking For Someone Who Can Demonstrate:
- A thorough understanding and experience of delivering the Early Years curriculum in a nursery setting
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching with excellent interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to inclusion, equality, and diversity
- The ability to create inviting, high-quality learning environments, both indoors and outdoors
- Strong relationship-building skills with parents, colleagues, visitors, and external professionals
- The ability to lead, guide, and support staff within the nursery (with mentoring from the EYFS Leader)
- A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures and confidence to act on concerns
- A positive contribution to the school’s culture, ethos, and wider community
- Responsibility for personal health and safety and proactive reporting of concerns
