Are you a passionate and inspiring primary teacher ready to help children prepare for one of the most important years of their primary education?
Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with one of our welcoming and supportive primary schools in the BH1 area, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.
Year 6 is a unique and rewarding year. It's about so much more than SATs—it's about building confidence, encouraging independence and preparing children for the exciting transition to secondary school. The successful candidate will be someone who can challenge and inspire pupils while creating a classroom where every child feels supported to achieve their very best.
You'll be joining a friendly school with a strong sense of community, supportive leadership and enthusiastic pupils who are eager to learn.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6, although strong Upper KS2 teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Has high expectations for all pupils and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Can deliver engaging, creative and well-structured lessons that inspire a love of learning.
- Builds positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Is organised, reflective and committed to continually developing their practice.
The role will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the Year 6 curriculum.
- Preparing pupils for their end-of-Key Stage assessments while maintaining an enjoyable and engaging learning environment.
- Supporting children's academic progress, confidence and personal development.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
- Creating a positive, inclusive classroom where all learners feel valued and challenged.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
