Nursery Practitioner Opportunities – Full & Part Time
Wigan Area | Immediate Start Available
Teaching Personnel are partnering with a well-established nursery setting in Wigan to recruit skilled Nursery Practitioners with a strong background in Early Years and supporting children with additional needs.
This opportunity would suit someone who is confident working within EYFS and has a genuine commitment to inclusive practice, particularly when supporting children with SEND.
We are seeking candidates who:
• Hold a recognised childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 or equivalent)
• Have practical experience within nursery or Early Years environments
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• Have supported children with additional needs such as ASD, speech and language difficulties, or SEMH needs
• Bring a calm, nurturing and flexible approach to their work
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or are willing to obtain one
Key responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging activities that support early development across all areas of learning
• Provide tailored support to meet individual needs, including SEND provision
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Encourage positive interactions, independence and emotional development
• Liaise effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals
• Support daily routines within the setting, including care and supervision

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
