Could you make a difference as an English tutor, teaching students English in the run up to their GCSEs and A-Level exams?

Everyone remembers that person who inspired them; a teacher, a friend, a family member: someone who changed how they saw things and helped them to see their potential. That's exactly what our tutors do.

We are looking for graduates and teachers to tutor secondary pupils on a 1:1 basis for their English A-Levels and GCSEs

As an English tutor, you will have:

  • QTS or a university degree in English or similar (Drama, Media, Literature etc)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • Patience and commitment
  • Behaviour management and coaching skills
  • Creative teaching methods

What will you be doing as an English Tutor?

  • Tutoring children of ages from 15 to 17, mixed abilities. This will be 1:1 or in small groups
  • Tailoring your approach - supporting children to learn and progress at their own pace
  • Encouraging children to overcome challenges - celebrating when they have a go and recognising their efforts

Why tutor at Teaching Personnel?

We are the largest Education recruitment specialist, supporting students in a range of schools across the UK

We've been doing this brilliantly for many years and our success is down to our incredible people that live and breathe our vision and values.

What you get in return

  • Weekly PAYE pay!
  • No umbrella fees or paper timesheets
  • Online payslips
  • Flexible working
  • Refer a friend scheme
  • CPD courses available including Team Teach
