English Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • Pay up to £65 per day dependant on experience
  • Full time post gaining excellent teaching experience
  • Working with students on a 1:1 and small group basis

Roman Catholic School in Stockport require an English teacher and aspiring English graduate for September. This is a full time English teaching assistant position working within the English department supporting students in their learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent English graduate currently looking to get on to a teacher training programme. You will be working within a supportive English department and providing with first hand experiences delivering English intervention to students on a small group and 1:1 basis.

Situated in the SK4 post code of Stockport the school has local public transport links for those who don’t drive and is just off the M60. This is a full time role that will be well suited to someone looking to gain a PGCE placement for September 2018.

Currently the school achieves below national averages in English so you will be expected to help students reach their expected levels of progress increasing the student’s attainment score. The school has a large percentage of pupils eligible for free school meals due to its diverse catchment area.
