English Teacher- Warrington

English teacher needed for a high performing school in Warrington

  • Full time English teaching vacancy
  • English to Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Required to start from September 2018
  • "The behaviour of the pupils is good. They are polite, courteous and respectful to teachers"- (Ofsted, 2017)

Due to an upcoming absence within the English department, the Head teacher of our partner secondary school located in central Warrington is seeking an enthusiastic English teacher who has a proven track record of achieving high results. This is a full time post required to start from September 2018 and is for a minimum of two terms.

English is a very popular subject at the school with the pupils achieving year on year success. A love and passion for the subject is instilled by enthusiastic teachers who strive to provide the pupils with the best possible learning opportunities. Further, pupils are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities such as an annual Readathons and World Book Day Events.

The school's English curriculum gives the students the opportunity to engage with a range of different novels, plays, poems and non-fiction texts to broaden and challenge their skills and viewpoints. Students have the opportunity to write stories, poems and play scripts, in addition to non-fiction styles, such as letters, articles and speeches.

Our partner secondary school caters for over 900 pupils and is highly regarded within the local area. It has also been recognised within the local community for its work on anti-bullying campaigns. This has cultured a positive learning atmosphere within the school allowing teachers to focus on improving pupil attainment rather than challenging behavioural problems.

It is located close to the Great Sankey area which offers excellent accessibility to the surrounding areas of Birchwood and Newton-le-Willows via the nearby motorway. Golborne and Lowton are only a short drive away also.

The Head teacher and Head of English are looking to meet with interested candidates at the earliest convenience. Therefore for immediate consideration, please send your full CV to Paul via the link below. Alternatively, please contact the Manchester West Secondary branch for further information.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
