Post-16 English Teacher – Full Time (Post 16 SEND Provision)
Location: Plymouth City Centre
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 4:45pm
Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm (Permanent after 3 months)

Are you a passionate English educator with a desire to make a real difference in the lives of young people with SEND needs? We’re currently recruiting for a dedicated and inspiring Post-16 English Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Plymouth City Centre.

About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be delivering engaging and accessible Functional Skills English sessions to learners aged 16+, many of whom have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You’ll be working full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:45am – 4:45pm, in a highly collaborative and supportive team environment.

This role offers a temporary contract with a view to becoming permanent after the initial 3-month period.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (or currently working towards one)
  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in English (A Level or above)
  • A genuine interest in and experience of working with SEND learners Excellent communication skills and a creative, flexible approach to teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
