Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Due to an expansion of department, we are seeking an English Teacher or Newly Qualified English Teacher to join the school after October half term, for a long term temporary position with an opportunity of a permanent contract at the end of the academic year.

The incoming English Teacher or Newly Qualified English Teacher will be joining a very welcoming and supportive English Department within this large modern secondary school. The department consists of experienced English Teachers and a good mix of NQTs, meaning if the incoming English Teacher was newly qualified, they would have the full support and guidance to complete their NQT year. With a bespoke and tailored NQT programme, this is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified English Teacher to flourish in an expanding department with real progression opportunities. Due to the school continuously expanding there is also the opportunity to take up responsibility for any incoming English Teachers who are more experienced and are seeking the next step in their career in the form of a TLR post.

-          Full time vacancy for an English Teacher or Newly Qualified Teacher to join the school on a temporary basis until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity of a permanent contract in 2020/2021

-          Joining a very welcoming and supportive English department within an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school in Oldham with state of the art facilities

-          Paid in line with teaching scale point and responsibilities upheld (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)

-          Opportunity for further development and progression, as well as access to a bespoke CPD academy

The school is a modern secondary school based in the heart of Oldham, easily accessible by both public transport or your own vehicle, with free on site parking for staff provided. With a very impressive and modern main building, the incoming English Teacher or Newly Qualified English Teacher can benefit from state of the art facilities and excellent teaching and learning provisions throughout. With excellent leadership and training provisions in place, the school has a very welcoming and supportive environment, with this being said in it’s recent Ofsted report in which the school was graded ‘Good’ across the board.
