English Teacher (Nurture base) - Oldham

A Special School situated in Failsworth are currently looking to recruit an English Teacher for a September 2019 start. The position commences in September 2019 and is a long term position which is permanent.

The Setting is an outstanding Multi Academy Trust which runs across 4 sites 3 which are located in Oldham and one which is located in Failsworth. Sites cater for pupils between 4 - 19 with a Statement of SEN or an EHCP, on the autistic spectrum and/or have significant communication and interaction difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

The role will involve planning and delivering lessons that are designed to support the development of pupils with SEN. Due to the specific needs of the pupils we would be interested in Teachers who have experience of working with pupils with SEN in some capacity. The ideal Teacher will ideally have experience working within a Special School Setting; however this is not essential as long as the Teacher can demonstrate a passion for working with SEN. The main focus of this role is support pupils in reaching their potential in English, so the Teacher must have an in-depth knowledge of how to deliver sessions up to GCSE English.

The ideal Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (essential)
• Team-Teach training (desirable can be provided)
• Experience working with pupils with SEN in some capacity
• The ability to build positive working relationships with pupils, school support staff and parents
