English Teacher

English Teacher required to join a large alternative provision that is located in York from September 2019.

I am working on behalf of an OFSTED “rated good school” who are currently recruiting an English teacher for the new academic year. My clients aim is to promote a vibrant educational environment and offer opportunities for students who are struggling to learn because of social, emotional and mental health needs. 

This alternative service caters for a wide range of individual student’s ages 5-16 years old who have struggled in or have left main stream schools. Their aims are to nurture and support every student so they can grow and have the education they deserve. You will support and tailor each student’s unique program as to remove any barriers and help that student progress.

This position is highly rewarding and for the right person it provides a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional career development.           

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor of Education/ PGCE/ or equivalent teaching degree
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching the UK secondary curriculum KS3 & KS4
• Plan effectively for classes of all abilities 
• Excellent behaviour management skills
