English teacher required for an Ofsted Good graded school in Trafford for September due to a late resignation within their English department.

Due to the late notice of this resignation following a member of staff gaining promotion, this school are looking to appoint an English teacher through Teaching Personnel from September, with the view to appointing on a permanent basis from January 2020.

This is the ideal opportunity for any English teacher looking for a progressive role and an introduction to their next permanent post within a high achieving and consistently improving secondary school.

Overview of English teacher post:

  • Full time role with the option to earn a permanent contract following temporary introduction
  • Pay in line with your salary MPS-UPS based on 2019/20 scales
  • Good graded Ofsted school whereby you will have the opportunity to teach students who are respectful to their peers
  • High achieving school located in Trafford - Easily accessible from Manchester City Centre

This is a large traditional mixed comprehensive secondary school with around 1300 students on roll, traditional in its nature and demographics. Academically high performing this is a school that achieves well academically and above borough and national averages with a positive progress 8 score. Well respected in the borough for the organisation and leadership of the senior leadership team you will be provided with opportunities to undertake training courses and personal development seminars.

English teacher applicant requirements for this position;

  • Hold Qualified teacher status in the UK
  • Have excellent teaching references from recent posts
  • Be eligibility for a fully enhanced DBS
  • Have experience teaching KS3/KS4 English across the age and ability range

English teachers interested in the post will need to attend interview in July as planned by the school. Situated in the WA14 post code of Trafford the school can be accessed just off the M56/M60, easily commutable for those on public transport via the metro link.
