English teacher required for Ofsted 'Good' Secondary

Are you an experienced English teacher looking for your next challenge, or a newly qualified teacher looking at the next stage of your career?

Our client secondary school in Oldham are looking to secure a qualified English teacher after Easter on a full time basis. Please see below for highlights of this post;

- Full time English teaching timetable including periods for PPA

- Open vacancy, long term cover with a view to securing a position directly at the school

- Predominantly KS3 timetable with support for GCSE groups

- Payment in line with MPS for final term (MPS/UPS available on direct contract)

- Excellent facilities throughout school

The successful English teacher will join a welcoming and successful English department, who in recent years have led the school in attainment and progress due to a collaborative approach to planning and marking, along with a commitment to stretch and challenge students of all abilities. The role will involve working with students across both Key Stage 3 and 4 so the incoming teacher must be adaptable in their approach to ensure students are given full access to the curriculum.

The school is situated a short journey from Oldham town centre with excellent transport links due to bus and tram routes. Situated in a state-of-the-art facility, the incoming English teacher will be able to benefit from outstanding provisions for learning and excellent technology to engage students in their lessons.

Requirements of this position;

* QTS or a relevant teaching based qualification specialising in English

* Previous experience teaching English at KS3 and GCSE

* A commitment to securing a long term post from Easter 2019
