Teacher of English – Stockton
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a passionate, dedicated and innovative Teacher of English to work within a large secondary school in Stockton. The position will be to start after October half term until Christmas initially with the outlook that it will run for the full academic year.
This successful candidate will be required to teach English to KS4 but KS5 experience would be desirable.
Within this role, you will be fully supported within the department and by the senior leadership team. When working within the school, you will have access to the schools CPD programmes and given effective PPA time in order to allow for a better work life balance. This school provides state of the art facilities and the department is keen to meet with potential applicants as soon as possible.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of delivering English Literature and/or English Language to KS4
- The ability to differentiate lesson material and tailor learning to particular pupil needs
- A proven track record of improving attainment
- Suitable school-based references
- Have and up to date DBS with the Update Service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
- A willingness to undertake CPD and contribute to the wider school life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
