English Teacher - Tameside

  • Full time post in the new academic year
  • Pay in line with your teachers scale point

Well respected Secondary school in Tameside require a teacher of English to start on a full time basis in October 2017 due to an upcoming maternity cover. This will be until July 2018 teaching English across the KS3 and GCSE curriculum where you will be expected to take on full responsibilities conducting your own planning and marking on a regular basis.

Located in the M34 post code of Tameside the school is just off the M60 and M67 motorways and has a train station in close vicinity. With around 900 students on roll you will be working in a high performing and vibrant English department that for the past 3 years has exceeded local authority and national academic averages with over 75% of students achieving at least a grade C in English.

The school will be looking to see interested candidates in September for a lesson observation and interview so you must be available to attend. Teaching Personnel will require you to provide school based references and to be eligible for a fully enhanced DBS certificate.

• Pay in line with your teachers scale point £22,467-£38,105.

• Teaching English full time to students who are well behaved and respectful

Prior experience of teaching English to KS3 and GCSE, a proven track record of raising attainment and QTS in the UK will be a requirement to make interview.
