How does it work?

The school’s maths department organises pupils, one or two at a time, to attend one of five hourly tuition sessions held in a suitable room on school premises during the course of a school day. The school can decide for how many days they would like these sessions to take place. Teaching Personnel recommend at least six sessions (hours) per pupil and tutors must be booked for a minimum of one day.

The maths department will contact Teaching Personnel to inform them of the number of pupils who require tuition and which days/dates they require a tutor. At this stage the school should also advise Teaching Personnel of the relevant exam board.

Teaching Personnel will provide a maths tutor (qualified maths teacher) who is well prepared to offer support based on the requirements of the applicable exam board. Our tutor will also make him or herself available to your maths teachers to discuss specific knowledge gaps with each pupil before the tuition begins. On arrival at the school our tutor should be provided with a schedule detailing which pupils are attending and at what times. Finally, at the end of each day our tutor will again be available to discuss specific pupil progress with your subject teachers.
