Job description

An opportunity to work within the English department of a large secondary school - supporting pupils across various levels of learning ability.

  • Full-time English teacher.
  • Required from January 2021 for the rest of the academic year – Potential to continue into September 2021.
  • Secondary school based in Salford.
  • Paid to teaching scale point (GBP25,714-GBP41,604 per annum).
  • Must hold QTS and have experience teaching English up to GCSE level previously.
  • Both newly qualified and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

The incoming English teacher will be teaching a full time table across Key Stage 3 and GCSE and will also be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities.

You will also be expected to prepare and deliver lessons to children at varying levels of learning ability including those with minor learning difficulties such as dyslexia.

The school has around 1000 pupils on roll and is based in Salford. It is easily accessible via the A580/M62 from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Worsley and central Manchester. The school can also be accessed via public transport from neighbouring areas.
