English Teacher Required - Swansea area

Required from January 2019; an ambitious English teacher for a successful and well-regarded secondary school set within the Swansea area.

About the School looking for an English Teacher.

This is a good school in the Swansea area. The school provides quality education for children within the local area, providing the foundations for their pupils' development towards GCSEs and A Level examinations. There is a small Sixth' form and successful students consistently gain entry to the universities of their choice.

The English Teacher Vacancy

In this exciting English Teacher position, you will be an important part of the high-attaining English Faculty. There is an array of shared materials and plans which have been collated over the years for you to use and adapt to suit your teaching style. The department is well managed and has good support. The post can include some A-Level teaching but it is not essential to your application if you do not teach this.

Person Specification - English Teacher

The successful English Teacher should be proactive, engaging and inspiring; plan and prepare learning opportunities tailored to the individual needs of each child; assess individual learning needs and work on a group and class basis; maintain positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policies; through effective marking, monitor pupils' work and set targets for progress; assess and record pupils' progress systematically and keep records to check work is understood and completed, monitor strengths and weaknesses, inform planning and recognise the level at which the pupil is achieving; be committed to ensuring pupils make good sustained progress and encourage pupils to reach their full potential through engaging and stimulating teaching.
