English teacher required for a full-time position starting ASAP.

If you are an English teacher, based in Wigan and are looking for a position within a supportive Secondary school where pupils enjoy good relationships with their teachers then please see further details below;

  • Full time English teacher required ASAP
  • Progression opportunities available for the ideal English teacher with permanent contract progression likely to be available
  • Teaching English to both Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£30,000- 46,525)
  • Must hold QTS specialising in English

Our client Secondary school are looking to source and appoint a forward thinking English teacher who has the ability to teach English in an engaging manor to cover a teacher retirement in the new year. The school are considering applications from English teachers of all abilities and are welcome to applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT’s) as well as more experienced teachers. The Head of the English department has highlighted that they would like to appoint an English teacher that is passionate about the subject and can purvey this in their teaching.

Progression opportunities are extremely likely; if successful over the initial period the school would look to offer a permanent contract to the incoming teacher.

The school have recently appointed a new Leadership Team and are now run by two National Leaders of Education who have taken the responsibility of recruitment of new staff amongst many other tasks.

Our client Secondary school is smaller than average Secondary school and currently has around 680 students on roll. Located in the centre of Wigan, the school has an abundance of public transport links from the surrounding areas. If commuting by car then the school has onsite car parking and is just minutes away from the A58.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
