English Teacher

Location: Milton Keynes

Job Type: Temp to Perm, Full-Time

Start date: September 2024

Salary: MPS/UPS rate paid as a daily rate equivalent - proof must be provided of UPS

We are working closely with a Secondary School situated in a suburb of Milton Keynes who are recruiting for an English Teacher from September 2024.  

The role would involve teaching English predominantly to Year 7 - Year 11 GCSE classes (KS3/4). A English Teacher with at least 1 year experience teaching English to GCSE is essential (open to ECTs with placement experience).

This is an established Academy in Milton Keynes with a reputation for nurturing their staff's development to become a positive, well-rounded Educator in their respective subject. This Academy is relatively small, which enables a focued approach to supporting students as individuals to reach each child's full potential. Not only would you be a key educator in one of the core subjects, you would become part of a community in school that promotes personal skills, such as Leadership, Organisation and Communication. This school is best accessible from MK, Bucks, Beds and Northants due to his great location. 

Contract

Temp to Perm contracts are designed for Teachers and Schools to offer you a permanent role, with the flexibility to assess if this is the right role for you over a period of up to 12-16 weeks. This is a great method for you to have the flexibility to ensure this is a school you can see yourself permanently working in for your teaching career, or if you would rather stay on a temporary contract this option is also there.

On this full-time contract, you will be treated like a permanent member of staff with access to all CPD opportunities as well as PPA time included on your timetable. 

Pay

You would be paid to the National Teacher Pay Scale salary between M1 - UPS1 on a daily rate equivalent (proof required for UPS).

The ideal candidate...

  • English Teacher with QTS or PGCE English Qualification
  • English Teacher with at least 1 years experience teaching up to KS4
  • Highly knowledgeable in GCSE English curriculum
  • Be passionate about teaching English and promoting learning in English for excellent results
  • Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
  • Be able to plan and deliver creative and stimulating English lessons
