A range of schools in the Manchester area are currently searching for a qualified English teacher to start as soon as possible, within a flexible role. The position in hand allows for you to choose your own working days that suit your lifestyle and availability.

The work will consist of delivering English lessons to a range of students from years 7-11 and engaging the pupils with the learning, whilst also maintaining a calm and positive environment. Therefore, the schools are keen to bring in someone who has prior teaching experience in a similar setting, that’s already achieved a suitable QTS.

Key points to the position:

  • Pay ranging from £28,000 - £43,685. (Dependent on pay scale).
  • Paid weekly through the PAYE system.
  • Potential for a full time after an extended period at the school.
  • CPD training through the course of your work to assist with development.

Its important for the schools that the ideal candidate is able perform to a consistent level of teaching throughout their time spent in the school and keep in line with the schools’ expectations, as well as their current ethos.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity develop their career and potentially move onto a full-time position, dependant on their time spent in the school.

In order to apply for this role Teaching personnel will require:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Valid child workforce DBS certificate (this can be obtained through Teaching Personnel if you don’t currently own one).
  • Overseas criminal clearance if you can have been outside of the country for over 6 months in the last 5 years.
  • Provide 2 relevant references within the past two years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
