Consequently, all pupils’ pastoral and welfare needs are given careful support, alongside their academic requirements. The Role:

The main aims of the English department are:

2. To help pupils achieve a technical competence in reading and writing.

5. To prepare pupils thoroughly for public examinations.

6. To make a contribution to a pupil's overall cultural and personal development.
